Kimiyo Mishima makes stuff

Kimiyo Mishima makes painting, photographs and sculptures to express and process her fear of ‘drowning in information’ (Nonaka-Hill n.d). Her work includes ceramic recreations of everyday objects that appear real but are in fact replicas. This twist on pop art is similar to Warhol’s Brillo boxes - intention is what makes it art
